NOTE:
A lot of people seem to call mid 70's V's 1974's
and that is not a true statement. There may have been some of the 75
V's that were actually made in 1974 but shipped in 1975. I guess it's
how you look at it
In 1979 Gibson changed the headstock from the narrow pointier
style to the wider style like 80-82.
So on 1979 Flying V's you will see both styles.

Note - Gibson did some funny things with serial #'s back in the
70's. For the most part these #'s listed above are correct.
I've seen lists showing serial # 9xxxxx as a 1970-1972
guitars. This is not exactly correct. Some 9xxxxx #'s are truly
1970-72's. However I have personally owned 2 Flying V's with a 9xxxxx
searial # and they were 1975 guitars. Also aware of 2 other
9xxxxx #'s that were also 75's.
